Beauty, usability and recycling is the foundation of my design and production. I compose my products with different kinds of material, also new and old material, to give the products a complete entity. The fabrics used are mostly made of natural material, such as cotton, linnen and wool.
Beauty, usability and recycling are the foundations of my design work and production. I compose my products with different kinds of material (new and old) to give the products a complete entity. The fabrics used are mostly natural material, such as cotton, linen and wool.
Recycling of textiles is the focus of my business. My main sources for textiles are flea markets where I search for neat old clothes, curtains, laces, bed sheets and coverings. I also use remnants and leftover textile as material.
The quality of my products is the focus of my work. I design and produce every single product myself. This makes every product personal and unique. Generally, I produce only one piece of each kind, or a few pieces at most, which emphasizes the products personality and uniqueness.
To me, Nea Design is a way of living. New ideas and thoughts are born through every day life, which can be seen in my products. Every product has its own tale to tell. Most rewarding aspect of my work is to get to share the happiness of handicraft and to meet satisfied customers to whom it is important to preserve ecological values.
